Overview
Sergeant is planned for XCEL Scientific’s peripheral portfolio as a support catheter intended to facilitate, guide and support a guidewire during access into the peripheral vasculature, allow guidewire exchanges, and provide a conduit for saline and/or diagnostic contrast. Full IFU, sizing, and ordering details will be published when commercially released in India.

Braided shaft architecture
Single-lumen catheter braided proximally to distally for torque and pushability versus standard catheters.
Hydrophilic distal coating
Distal body covered with durable hydrophilic coating (HYDRAX PLUS per brochure) to aid navigation.
Tapered support
Tapered shaft design intended to increase support during peripheral access.
Intended use notes
- Indicated (per brochure) for patients with peripheral artery disease in small vessel or challenging anatomy during diagnostic and interventional procedures.
- Final indications, contraindications, and sizing must follow the approved IFU at launch.
